ROI Calculator
Compare returns across investments โ absolute ROI plus annualised (CAGR).
About this tool
ROI on its own is misleading โ 40% in six months and 40% in six years look identical. This calculator reports both the absolute ROI and the annualised return so you can compare investments of different durations on the same footing.
Frequently asked questions
What is a good ROI?
Depends on risk and holding period. Fixed deposits pay 6-8% annualised; equity index funds average 10-14% over a decade; venture-scale outcomes might target 20%+. Compare the annualised figure, not raw ROI.
How is annualised ROI different from CAGR?
They are the same number for a single lump sum. CAGR just emphasises the compounding view; the maths is (End / Start)^(1/years) - 1.
