Sometimes you need page 7 of a 40-page report, or a contract needs to travel without its internal notes. This tool works both ways: give it a page range like "1-3,5" and get one trimmed PDF back, or skip the range and receive every page as its own standalone file.

How to use Split PDF

  1. 1Upload the PDF you want to split.
  2. 2Type a page range β€” "1-3,5" style β€” to extract those pages into one PDF, or leave the field empty to split every page.
  3. 3Click the button. Range extractions download immediately as a single file.
  4. 4For a full split, download pages individually or grab them all with one click.

Features

  • Two split modes

Range extraction into one PDF, or a full per-page explosion.

  • Flexible range syntax

Combine spans and single pages freely: "1-3,5,8-10".

  • Per-page downloads

After a full split, each page is its own labeled file.

  • Instant validation

Out-of-range page numbers are caught with a clear message, not a broken file.

Why use this tool

  • Share only what is needed

Send the signature page, not the whole agreement.

  • Smaller files, faster email

A 3-page extract clears attachment limits a 40-page original cannot.

  • Cleaner archives

File each statement page where it belongs instead of duplicating the batch.

Frequently asked questions

How do I write a page range?

Comma-separate spans and single pages: "1-3,5" gives you pages 1, 2, 3, and 5 in one new PDF. Order follows the original document. Anything outside the document's page count is rejected with a message telling you how many pages it has.

What happens if I leave the range field empty?

The tool splits the entire document β€” every page becomes its own single-page PDF, listed for individual download plus a download-all button.

Can I split an encrypted or password-protected PDF?

No β€” the file must be unlocked first. Open it in your PDF reader with the password, save an unlocked copy, and split that.

Do the split pages keep their original quality?

Yes. Pages are copied structurally rather than re-rendered, so text remains selectable and images keep their original resolution.

Your files stay private

The uploaded PDF and every split part exist only in server memory during your request. Nothing is stored afterward β€” refreshing the page discards the results permanently. Logged-in accounts record only the conversion event, never content.
