What counts as a heading for splitting?
Short standalone lines β up to 70 characters, no ending punctuation, at most ten words. It's the same deterministic rule across our Word tools, and it catches both styled headings and plain-line titles.
What if my document has no headings?
It splits into evenly-sized parts of about 60 paragraphs each, named Part 1, Part 2, and so on.
Is there a limit on the number of parts?
Twenty parts per document. Extremely long documents split their first twenty sections.
Do images and tables survive the split?
Text content is carried into the parts; images are not. Table text arrives in reading order within its section.
Your files stay private
Splitting happens in memory and every part is discarded after download. The document's content is never stored or reviewed.
